" A survey of almost 300 training professionals in the US and UK, ASTD and Balance Learning reported that more than two thirds of respondents ranked blended learning as “the most effective and cost-efficient form of training,” and indicated that “blended learning will make up about 30% of all corporate training budgets by 2006" "

    New Hire

New Hire training is a continual challenge as it has to be performed so very frequently.  Apart from the load on trainers, it is overwhelming for new staff to receive several days of intensive, essential training at a time when they are already suffering from information overload in the new job.  The result is that users forget what they were taught and then put an additional, unnecessary load on the Help Desk.

By integrating e-Learning into the New Hire program, users can spend more time learning all they need to know. The program can be spread out over several weeks on-line with shorter classroom sessions. This is a much better experience for the user and of course, alleviates New Hire Trainer Burn-out.

This blended, state of the art, approach is attractive to new staff who appreciate the training laid on for them and know that they can always access it as their careers unfold.  Some Firms offer the new hire training on their extranet, so training can start before the member of staff even reaches the Firm.
