Who Do You Choose to be During Covid-19?

This weeks blog is from TPHQ as we talk about what was then and what is now…

Do you remember a few weeks ago when we were all too busy to slow down, running from meeting to meeting, couldn’t fit in time to workout, spent hours commuting to and from the office and were left scrambling to figure out what to feed our families for dinner?

Today’s “new normal” has us all working remotely from home, trying to manage not only our work but also home school our children. Having a balanced work life can prove to be challenging!

We have all now been forced to pause. And during this pause, we are discovering that certain parts of life were not as essential as we thought — and just as important, rediscovering certain essential parts we had forgotten. It has truly given us a chance to reconnect with some essential truths. It’s been great to hear about people who are spending time doing puzzles, baking their favorite foods (since they can’t go out to eat), playing board games and finding other creative outlets.

More people are making phone calls to each other with the increasing barriers of having face-to-face interaction. We are in uncertain times, but with the increase of remote working companies are turning to digital channels and embracing the transformation.

What can we learn about ourselves from the coronavirus? Many of us are spending time self-reflecting with more time on our hands we truly have a chance to think about who we are as individuals and the world as a whole. There is a renewed awareness of the need to take care, not just of our physical health, but our mental, emotional and spiritual health as well.

We will all get through this and come back like rock stars on the other side! It’s unlikely that we will go back to the lifestyles we had prior to the recent health climate but we will be renewed as individuals and organizations overall!
