Adobe Flash Player End of Life – What Does This Mean To You and Your LMS?

In July of 2020, Adobe announced that it would stop supporting Flash Player effective December 31, 2020. Users were prompted again in October 2020 about this upcoming change. Adobe has since blocked Flash from running in Flash Player beginning January 12, 2021.

In light of this, any content that has been created using Flash will not run in any browser. We can confirm that TutorPro’s eLearning does not use Flash. However, we know clients are coming across some legacy content created by themselves, or 3rd party vendors, that was published with Flash. If this content is still required, it will need to be republished using an HTML option.

For customers that need help transitioning from Flash they can contact HARMAN Adobe’s official distribution licensing partner. Potential services provided by HARMAN may include, transitioning Flash content to alternate technologies.

We hope that the discontinuation of Flash Player has not negatively impacted any TutorPro clients and in the event that help is needed please contact support@tutorpro.com. Thank you!
